“Pet Angošt” (Šumber) – 05.08.2023.

U Šumberu se pučkom feštom “PET ANGOŠT” obilježava blagdan Gospe Snježne. Svečanost koja je obogaćena gastronomskom ponudom počinje u jutarnjim satima svečanom Svetom misom u 09:00 sati u crkvi Blažene Djevice Marije od Drena, dok se na istom mjestu uvečer u 18:00 sati održava misa koju će voditi Ivan Štironja, biskup porečki i pulski. Blagdan Gospe od Drena se u ovom kraju, Šumberu obilježava već stoljećima.

Oko tisuću mještana, iseljenika i njihovih gostiju svake se godine 5. kolovoza okupe oko crkvice te na misnom slavlju prisjete događaja iz 1430. godine, kada se u kolovozu tamošnjoj pastirici ukazala Gospa među granama od drva drena, te je nedaleko tog drva 10 godina kasnije izgrađena crkva. Taj se blagdan poklapa s čudom u Rimu kad je 5. kolovoza pao snijeg stoga se jedan i drugi događaj slave istovremeno pod nazivom Snježna Gospa.

Zabavni program i gastronomska ponuda počinje na Balarinima u 20:00 sati.

Za dobru zabavu i veselu atmosferu pobrinuti će se legendarni Koktelsi, Lucky band i DJ Marin Stepčić, kao i mališani iz foklorne skupine Mendula koji će nam se također predstaviti sa tradicionalnim plesovima.

“Pet Angošt” (Šumber) – 05.08.2023.

In Šumber, the folk festival “PET ANGOŠT” celebrates the feast of Our Lady of the Snows. The celebration, which is enriched with a gastronomic offer, begins in the morning with a solemn Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m. in the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Dren, while a mass will be held at the same place in the evening at 6:00 p.m. led by Ivan Štironja, bishop of Poreč and Pula. The celebration of the Lady of Dren has been held for centuries in Šumber.

Nearly thousand people gather every year on 5 August (literal meaning of “Pet angošt”) around the church for the celebration of Holy mass, remembering the year of 1430, when the lady shepherd had the vision of Madonna between the branches of cornel tree. Subsequently the church was built 10 years later near this tree.  This holiday coincides with the miracle in Rome when the snow fell on August 5th, so both events are celebrated at the same time under the title of the Snow Madonna.

Entertainment program and gastronomic offer start at Balarini at 8.00 PM.

The legendary Koktelsi, Lucky band and DJ Marin Stepčić will provide good entertainment and a cheerful atmosphere, as well as the children from the folklore group Mendula, who will also present themselves to us with traditional dances.
